Trying to connect your WhatsApp Business App to Aelyst?
Important: You don't need to delete your WhatsApp account to connect your WhatsApp Business App number to Aelyst. With WhatsApp Coexistence, you can use the same phone number on both the app and Aelyst via the WhatsApp API — no account deletion required. Learn how to connect your WhatsApp Business App to Aelyst and access API features (with some limitations).
A phone number registered for the WhatsApp Business API cannot also be used in any WhatsApp Personal or Business App. So if you want to register for the WhatsApp Business API using a phone number already registered on the WhatsApp Personal or Business App, you'll first need to delete the WhatsApp account associated with that number.
Deleting your WhatsApp account
Back up your chats and media files before deleting your account, if required.
- Open WhatsApp and navigate to Settings.
- Tap Account > Delete My Account.
- Enter your phone number in full international format, then tap Delete My Account.
- Tap the drop-down list to select a reason.
- Tap Delete My Account.

No. You can't import your chat history from the WhatsApp app to the WhatsApp Business Platform (API). WhatsApp's backup options only restore history on another phone — they can't be used to migrate to the WhatsApp API. The backup stored in your Google Drive cannot be used for migration.

Yes. To save and import your contacts:
- Use Google Contacts to download your phone address book into a CSV file.
- Import the CSV file into Aelyst.
